To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.
You can be changed by what happens to you.
You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.
Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely being somebody else.

One should be two things: who and what you want. Don't compromise with yourself - you're all you have.

How many times each day do you mean to say one thing, and say another instead, because you’re worried about what others might think?

How often do you wake up in the morning with one idea in mind for what you want to accomplish, only to find yourself doing something else because of social pressures or personal anxieties?

Do you dress the way you want to dress? Do you listen to the music you really like, or do you follow the herd? Are you working the job of your dreams, or the job of someone else’s dreams?

No lifetime, no matter how successful, will be truly rewarding or happy if you cannot learn to love yourself and be yourself.

And while it may seem harder than ever now, there are writers, philosophers, businesspeople, and celebrities throughout history who have struggled to find their identity, just like you.
But just as others have risen to the challenge, you too can learn how to be yourself.
To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting.

In this competitive world, everyone's motive is to be better than others. Rather no one wants to be better by themselves.
Build yourself first. Be better than yourself. Don't compare yourself to some other individual.
