The awakening experience of death !

The opportunity for the realization of all the many moments we take for granted in this life comes alive as soon as you find out someone you cared for has just passed away. I have lost truly unique and genuine soul who’s life touched not only mine, but many others over the course of his time here on earth.

When someone you were used to seeing and hearing from regularly, passes away in a blink leaving everything behind, I’m not kidding, everything feels very weird. This is usually the time where people grieve and mourn over the loss of their loved one, but it is also a time to reflect and look at your own life to think about what it is that you are doing to make a positive difference in this world.

When we stop to think about the meaning of our own life and stop worrying about all the silly, small things we worry about constantly, a whole new light shines in and this is an awakening experience that is to be reflected upon, often. Let’s be honest we all get so caught up in the stress and excitement of this or that. We regrettably forget to tell our loved ones how much they mean to us. We carry on arguments that should end quickly after they are started. We say hurtful words thinking tomorrow will be there to offer us forgiveness, but listen up! Tomorrow is not always going to be there. You need to try to make a difference in this world, no matter how young or how old you are now.

When a loved one passes away and we are left to grieve in sadness and feel the overwhelming sense of pain and confusion rush over us, one important thing that we must keep in mind is that the person’s life who was lost served a meaningful purpose. It is not healthy to sit for weeks feeling sad over someone’s loss. Instead we must pick ourselves up and celebrate that person’s life here on earth for we will see them again and we will carry on with the truth and wisdom that the person taught us.

I hope this helps you if you are someone who is currently grieving over the loss over a loved one. I hope you know that this does not mean the end; that the one who is now at peace and out of pain would not want you to be sad. They would want you to smile and carry on with love in your heart and wisdom in your soul.

Be a light to others, for you never know who is in desperate need for it..

In loving memory of my beloved grandfather. We miss you. Shine Bright.

Until we meet again, yours Shruti.
